With the advent of clubs hybrids golfers are playing less and less wood 3 or 5-wood from the street these days. I do not blame them really, I a 2-hybrid (16 degrees) to use for the second blow, most times in five years the pair. I'm usually left with a pass for my third shot short and left me a putt for birdie. That's all you can ask on most days.
However, on some days when I'm swinging the ball well and I find it takes time myself within 235 yards for the second. That's when I start thinking about taking the 3-wood and in its favor in two.
The funny thing is that at my home course, the two par five years on the front require two different ball flights for the same club. The fourth green is downhill with a small opening in the front where he could run a ball on the green. The ninth green is large and requires a high shot that stops. Same club in hand, but I need two different flights, depending ball in the hole.
Have you ever wanted to reach a par five in two? You need courage, confidence and know how to fly the ball high or low.
Below are five tips to swing the wooden street and then the adjustments to keep it flying high or low.
The high Fairway Wood Swing
Place the ball – Most duffers play fairway woods too far forward in your stance. This is not a tee shot so you do not want to hit the ball. Nudging forward the angle of approach promoted.
Sweep the ball – The clubhead must pass through the hitting area almost parallel to the ground. You do not want to take a chop in the draft. The clubhead should apply only to the grass in the impact area.
Use a downward stroke – the clubhead must pass through the impact area with a slight downward trajectory. This will create backspin on the ball well will have to control the shot.
The transfer of weight – The success of this oscillation is determined largely by the transition. Once the club reaches the top of the climb, starting the descent by shifting your weight from leg to the forefoot. That the weight transfer is vital for the club to bottom out at the dance.
Swing through the injection – Remain committed to the vaccine. Swing inside track to an end. Avoid the tendency to over swing or lifting the ball in the air with the club. Make the swing balanced and take what the swing and the club will give you.
Now that you have the swing down, you should take note of the adjustments you have to do in flight for the ball high or low. The high shot Fairway Wood

Do not declare the fairway wood shot too fast. I know they are among the clubs bag and therefore more difficult to hit correctly. Under the right conditions this shot and could result in an attempt to eagle with a birdie almost certain. You are a full stroke better off than the alternative of establishing monitoring strategy.
Let the wood fairway shot to shot to save it. Because we all know each shot that account, except those who have to make.
