Rossa Golf
Which golf clubs should I have in my bag?

Right now I have the Orlimar golf set (Driver, 3 and 5 wood, 4 and 5 hybrid, 5 – PW irons) with a Jack Nicklaus 56 degree wedge, a 60 degree wedge, and a Rife Aussie Black putter (blade). I am getting a new putter, hopefully the Taylormade Rossa Daytona Ghost (blade) or the Taylormade Ghost Tour putter (blade). I am also debating whether or not to get a 3 or 4 iron or both. However if I were to get one or both of these I would need to take a club or two out of my bag.

So I have two questions:
1. Should I even get a 3 or 4 iron?
2. If so which club(s) do I replace? If not, why?

BQ: Are the choices for my putter good ones?
The second putter choice is actually the Taylormade Ghost Tour Daytona putter (blade).

So what is the difference between the Rossa and Tour putters? Does it matter which one I get because the Rossa is $30 cheaper.

Hello there,

At present you have 14 clubs in your bag. That is the limit. To add another, you will need to remove one of the others.

Why do you want a 3 or 4 iron? Can you hit a long iron better than you hit a hybrid? That is the trade-off. Either a long iron or a hybrid. Those hit about the same distance. So with which can you strike the ball better. Many newer players use hybrids. Well a lot of older players have gone to hybrids also. If you are a good ball striker and play your irons well, you may be able to play the long irons. If not, why switch.

Good choice in putter? That is the most personal part of club selection. I know of no good rationale for selecting a putter. It is merely a matter of feel. Over the years I have bough several putters, they all reside in the same place leaning against the wall in a corner. I still use the same old putter. It just feels right to me. So I do not think anyone else can tell you what putter you will like. They can tell you what putter they like. But that does not mean you will like it.
