I can hit my irons great but any woods or driver i cant even hit …HELP!!?

so i golf about once every 2 weeks my handicap is around a 16 and i only use irons…i hit my 3 iron off the tee around 220 and my irons are very strong i hit my 8 iron 165…my swing is something between a draw and a hook….wenever i try to hit the driver it is me either topping it or a roller i never can get it past 100 yards..and that goes for woods and hyrbrids also….what can be the problem????

There could be a whole lot of things going on — the golf swing is pretty complex, but a good guess it that you are swinging to hard w/ the driver which is messing up your mechanics. Go to the range and only take one club — the driver. Hit 20 ball where your hands don’t get higher than your waist on the backswing. Then hit another 20 where your hands don’t get any higher than your chest on the back swing. Then another 20 with a full swing – make sure you stop the backswing when your left shoulder hits your chin.
