The TaylorMade Golf Tour Burner Iron Set lefties each have a clubface offset inverted cone that provides a higher average speed and long ball distance on shots due to the thin and fast 2.2 mm face. That revolutionary face offers increased COR, and the cavity badge delivers a sense of satisfaction and super sound and a clean and classic direction.
TaylorMade is launching the Tour Burner irons and clubs designed to appeal to all levels player. The clubface of 2.2 millimeter thick and inverted Cone Technology, visible on the back of the clubhead, are intended to increase the COR and provide higher ball speeds and distance with forgiveness.
The backs also show the heel and toe weight, and the sole is beveled along its trailing edge to increase the playability of a variety of lies – which is playing more like a thinner sole, TaylorMade says.
In terms of looks, Tour Burner irons have a satin chrome plated finish and a beige "medium thin" top line. MLAs are 105 burners True Temper steel, and the graphite Burner REAX 65.
The TaylorMade Tour Burner irons are available in 2 through 9, plus PW (46 degrees), sand wedge (55 degrees), the wedge attack (50 degrees) and lob wedge (60 degrees). A 3-PW will be a suggested price of $ 840 with steel shafts or $ 1040 with graphite shaft. Clubs will be available at retail beginning in April 2008.
