If you are looking for a way to lose fifteen pounds in two weeks, a diet high in protein, low carbohydrate diet, a diet of fruit, a diet without fat, blood type diet, a juice fast, a diet named after a place in Miami, a grapefruit diet, cactus diet, a coffee and cigarette diet, a diet that includes sweets, a diet based on your body type, a diet based on an ancient religion or a diet based on your hair color, then this article is not for you.

Fashionable and crash diets, such as those described above are not only unhealthy but they also cause rebound weight gain. Also most diets, even though diet gurus write, cause an initial weight loss, but the end result is to gain all the weight back when leaving the plan. If you do not gain again in a couple of diets, is likely to gain it all back, plus a little over a year.

Crash diets dehydrate you, low calorie diets put your body in starvation mode for you plateau so you can not lose a pound more and high protein diets stress your kidneys and clog your arteries.

So how can you lose weight?

There is only one answer to this question.

It is necessary to expend more calories than are in Avoidance of certain foods, eating so-called fat burning foods, or dehydrating yourself with special pills or teas does not. It's simple math. The only way is to eat a little less and exercise a little more. This is the equation:

Make eat less + exercise more = weight loss.

This is not a magic formula, it's just logic. Nor is it a quick way to lose weight. As I mentioned before, this is not an article about how lose ten pounds in three days or 30 pounds in a month. It is safe, healthy weight loss.

To lose weight quickly and safely and without putting at risk of health hazards such as dehydration, kidney failure, malnutrition, fatigue, nervous system dysfunction, loss of teeth, hair gray, wrinkles, cellulite, sudden heart failure or stroke and lose weight that stays off, you should not lose more than about two pounds per week!

Although may not sound like a lot of weight to lose it actually is! If you lose 2 pounds a week which means you can achieve weight loss of ten pounds a month! If you only have twenty pounds to lose then your weight loss is not only fast, but you have the additional security gonna stay out, because you have followed an exercise plan that does not involve reasonable dying of hunger, exhaustion or private. If you are willing to abandon his impatience and desire for immediate gratification and stick to an exercise plan and healthy eating habits, then a Mediterranean diet is for you. Remember that being thin is good only if they are able to enjoy it!

Fascination with Fat

If you want to lose weight, you first need to assess if you really need to lose weight or are simply a fashion victim. Unfortunately, this society is fascinated with fat – who has it and who does not. As we are convinced of many images in the media that persuade to believe that you can never be too thin, many of us are poor judges of our actual body weight.

If you are under eighteen and reading this book, the first thing to do is consult with parents about their plans for weight loss. Ask to make an appointment with a doctor so he can tell you whether or not you are a candidate for weight loss.

If you are an adult, you may not be be overweight and are trying to be, as Bridget Jones put in Bridget Jones Diary "a stick insect with eyelashes." It is also quite possible that you knows that you need to lose weight, but have no idea where to start.

If you are obese and you know, then you have to consult a doctor first to check on their health before beginning any exercise program or plan. The same is true if you have any medical condition, but especially a problem thyroid or heart problems. Some doctors can not recommend a weight loss program for those who are over 40 as due to genetics and changes hormonal, some people naturally just round out or gain a way that simply can not be changed. If your doctor says are due to diffusion hips menopause or genetics, believe him! Not good to fool with Mother Nature.
