What kind of sentence is appropriate after a round of golf? I had to say grace at the meal following a women's tournament golf. Although it was an honor to have been asked to return thanks, not sure what I should pray. I decided to explore a bit of literature on the course and the spiritual side of life. I checked titles as Fairway to Heaven, in His grip, and of course, Chicken Soup for the Soul of the golfers. The material in these books no doubt an inspirational nature, but not help me figure out what to say in my prayers.

An Internet search unearthed the fact that Christians have come up with an incredible number of humorous anecdotes courses. Have you heard of Jesus, God and Tiger Woods playing eighteen holes together? It is quite fun, but was not sure I wanted to start my sentence with a joke. People might not be able to stop laughing during grace.

I thought about a religious story about a famous golfer. I learned when Vijay Singh won Masters, his sister said it was because the whole family prayed for victory for a day and a night. There was none of the other golfer's family prayed for victory? Why God chose to listen to requests from Singh? I was confused. If I told the story of Vijay at lunch the other women, could be confused too.

Perhaps I could share ideas about how the game of golf can positively impact a person's life.

Golf gives us the opportunity of being in the outdoors. The picturesque setting inspires a real appreciation of the beauty of God's creation.

Golf is a way to encourage exercise and relationships with family and friends. The game of golf can be very therapeutic. A widow once told me that after the death of her husband to leave the golf course had provided healthy fun times when you felt sad and alone.

Golf is a way to meet new people. I've talked to many interesting foreigners have been associated with links. Sometimes, our conversations have even led to discussions on matters of faith. My husband and I were playing golf, with two lieutenants of the Navy in the Olympic Course View in Victoria, British Columbia, one summer afternoon. One of the officers made a crucial putt and said, "I knew he had to pay at some time to jump out church last Sunday. "It seemed perfectly natural that I ask," What is church? "

Golf provides an opportunity to affirm and promote others. I play in a weekly league and my fellow ladies are always so positive. The other women make me believe that my golf game is not hopeless. They want something good in every shot and I do applaud the slightest improvement in my account. I learned some valuable lessons about the power of affirmation of my fellow women's golf.

Golf can be a way to support a worthy effort. Many organizations sponsor golf events to raise funds. My husband and I often have entered the tournament where profits are for charitable causes.

You're probably wondering by now what finally finished praying at lunch courses. I have decided not start my blessing of the table with the observations. I simply asked women to bow his head and then told me …..

We are grateful for the opportunity we had today to play the game of golf. We are grateful for the financial year is always for our body, the sense of togetherness that we live with others golfers, and the opportunity we had to enjoy the beauty of creation. Open our minds and hearts to the teachings of this game can teach us about life ….. that we should not give up after a few bad holes, because things will probably improve if we keep trying …. that we must be flexible, if the nine iron not do the trick, maybe the pitching wedge is ….. the minor drawbacks are not necessarily won by the women with the latest fashion in golf apparel or the most expensive set clubs but for those who work hard in their game with patience and persistence.

Bless each person here if she ended up a winner or loser in cards scoring were delivered today, because if we enjoyed the game that we play together, they really were all winners. We ask now for your blessing on this food.
