What is the best brand of golf balls to buy, and why?
I know some good golf balls to buy because I will buy. Be that the major brands are Nike, Callaway, and titelest but want to know if other people or that one of these are the best.
The golf balls are more important for golf that people think and just buy a brand that is considered a premium brand will not improve your distance. Buying the best is not as important as the purchase of which is fits their profile of golf. Talk to your local golf retailer and ask what they recommend. Currently, the golf ball market is worth approximately $ 550 million in sales annually, with over 850 million golf balls are manufactured and shipped each year. Currently, balls are made in two or three parts. A two-piece ball is made of rubber and plastic, and is used primarily by the casual player. These balls last a lot longer than the three balls of work that professionals use and therefore represent 70% of all production of golf balls. A three-piece ball consists of a plastic, rubber spools, and a core containing a gel or liquid (water and sugar) or is solid. A pattern of dimples on the surface results in good flight performance. The most common dimple patterns are the icosahedral, the dodecahedron, and octahedron. The icosahedral pattern is based on a polyhedral with 20 identical triangular faces, much as a 20-sided. Similarly, a dodecahedron is based on a polyhedral with 12 identical faces in the form of pentagons. The octahedron is based on an eight-sided polyhedral with triangular faces. Some balls are based on the icosahedral with 500 dimples. As a general rule, the more dimples a ball has the best flies, provided those dimples are about 0.15 cm (0.38) in diameter. The size and depth of the dimples also affect performance. Shallow depressions generate more spin on a golf ball dimples, which increases lift and causes the ball goes up and stays in the air longer and less sway. Dimples generate less spin on a dimpled golf ball surface, which decrease lift and causes the ball to stay at a low trajectory, with more airtime and less roll. Small dimples generally give the ball a lower trajectory and good control in the wind, where as large dimples give the ball a higher trajectory and flight time is longer. Technological advances in aerodynamics and materials now allow the manufacturer Custom-Fit a golf ball for the particular set of players, weather, and even for specific course conditions. Golf balls can be divided into four basic performance categories: distance and duration, control and maneuverability, distance and control, and slowly the clubhead speed. Within of these categories there are over 80 balls of different types and construction materials and design. The United States Golf Association (USGA) has established standards for the ball as regards the maximum weight, minimum size, spherical symmetry, initial velocity, and total distance. The ball weight should not exceed 1.62 oz (45.93 g) and must be spherically symmetric. The speed should not exceed 250 feet (75 m) per second (255 feet [76.5 m] per second maximum) when measured apparatus approved by the USGA. The distance rule provides that the ball did not cover an average distance of transportation and deployment of more than 280 yards (84 m) (296.8 meters [89 m] maximum). These standards are updated annually. Currently, there are about 850 models of balls that conform to these standards. Recently, the balls are about 2% larger than ordinary balls have been introduced that still conform to USGA rules. These balls have softer cores and covers more difficult thicker, leading to a line, and shot.
